Helping One of Our Own

Helping One of Our Own

I normally wouldn’t post something like this, but Mary had been such a blessing to me and this ministry by providing all of the graphics for the site, facebook and twitter for free; it is the least I can do.

On May 6th, during the heavy rainfall in Oklahoma, the bridge leading to their new, under construction home, collapsed. The problem has since gotten worse, as the rains have continued and eroded the area where the bridge was.

They have set up a Go Fund Me Page where I have made a donation. If you feel led, I hope you will donate as well. Please keep the Adkins family in your prayers.

If you need any graphics work done, I can’t recommend Mary highly enough! Her site is the Graphix Station.

Can you help out not only a Christian family, but a Prepared Christian family?

Please keep the Adkins family in your prayers.

Chris

  1. I too live in Okla where we’ve had record-setting rain in May. Heard on the radio today that the state averaged 10 or 12 inches in May. But in our county, we had over 20 inches in those 31 days. Everything was extremely saturated by May 10, & most of it came after that. THere were 3 bridges in our county closed for a while, including 2 on different US hiways & one on a state hiway. A few fatalities, several homes, dozens of cattle, & 100s of acres of crops have been lost. A lot of devastation & hurting people.

However, my family & I have been OK, thanks to being on land w/ a slight incline in our property, leading most of the rain to run off.

I am sorry to hear about what happened to the family, but having been though a huge flood a couple years ago in Calgary I can imagine the devastation. I to am a small business person doing consulting on the side of my regular job, so I can relate to that as well. I have started putting money aside with my business as a tithe & as a seed for some philanthropy.

I am not promising I can help but I will discuss with my wife & see if I can throw at least a little something their way. Even though I am in Canada & they are in the US….us preppers have to stick together & this just goes to show that you can’t prepare for every event.
